FAREWELL BAO HAN
Wow, I haven't posted a blog in awhile which I do apologize for! D: I really need to get internet on my new phone.....
ANAYWAYS, this may be old news to some and new news to others, but veteran paris by night singer Bao Han is indeed leaving the show. She gave her last performance on Planet Hollywood's stage and shined like a star, LITERALLY. Throughout the night, I could not get "Baby tell me tell me why, why you come to me when i cry, like a shining star in the sky...." out of my head! So catchy. She descended on a huge star shaped prop, as if she was descending from heaven, in this bedazzled corset with a pewter gray tutu flowing to the floor. In the background was a slideshow of pictures of her most memorable performance. On the last picture she wrote "Thanks for the journey, forever yours, Bao Han." Awwww, no wonder her performance was such a tear-jerker!
You all will just have to buy the DVD to see the whole performance! Hehe.
What you cannot see on the DVD is what happened backstage after her performance. That is specifically why I'm writing this blog because well, I am the PBN insider. Just kidding. Anywho, it was apparent that during her LAST interview with Chu Ngan she was trying to hold back tears! When she exited through the curtains, she was crying, like really crying. She came and gave one of the producers a big hug gave a everyone a big warm embrace. It was hard not to shed some waterworks at that moment. One of my friends who was one of the dancers said after they saw her performance (paraphrasing of course), "It's just so sad to see her go. I grew up watching her and trying to dance like her and I just can't believe she's really leaving."
As with any idolic entertainer, they bring joy and excitement to their fans through their music with their talent, touching us from the crowns of our heads to the tips of our toes. They smile, we smile. The grow, we grow. I think that's what is happening right now. Bao Han is moving onto another undoubtedly successful chapter of her life. As fans, we will always follow, and we will never ever forget.

What an eventful evening...
To celebrate Paris By Night 100, a social extravaganza was thrown at Planet Hollywood's celebrity ballroom. At the entrance, beautiful vietnamese ladies wore sparkly ao dais to greet the four hundred VIP guests that would attend. These guests were indeed VIP guest since they had the lucky chance of dining, dancing, and laughing with the stars! Once they received their extra special wrist bands, they could then walk a red carpet. YES, the ones where the interviews with the singers were taking place! No, not only were they in the presence of such talent, these guests could receive their picture taken by a photographer, even with one of the singers. The actual ballroom was beautifully decorated and the space was huge. Waiters came around serving gourmet foods and the guests sat amongst the celebrities. At the front of the room was a small wooden dancefloor and a stage for the night's performers. There was evena n ice sculpture with a Paris By Night 100 sign! It was an eventful evening to say the least.
Among the many performers were Y Lan, Nhu Quynh, Tran Thai Hoa, Quyn Vi, Minh Tuyet and many more. When Ho Le Thu took the stage, she really got the parted started! Singers and guest rushed to the dancefloor and jived to the up-tempo and feel good music. You could tell that she really excited everyone because when she left the stage, everyone evacuated the dancefloor and returned to their seats. Another stand out moment of the night was when Bang Kieu followed Nguyen Hung's performance. He jokingly claimed that his dance moves were far superior than his fellow entertainer, who's mostly known for his smooth tango moves on stage. *gasp* TROI DUC OI! Moments like that made the night successful in my opinion. The guests got to not only party with the stars, but see an intimate and lighter side of them. The exclusive vip event allowed the singers to show more of their personalities and connect with the fans. All in all, great night.
MORE PICTURES WILL BE UPLOADED ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE AND PHOTOBUCKET!

CRAZY STUFF
Well, this has absolutely nothing to do with Paris By Night, but it was just so incredibly crazy and mind boggling that I just had to share! Today, in yoga class, the instructor demonstrated the nauli. Basically, you use your brain to manipulate your ab and core muscles. Hard to explain, but this video will give you a better image!
CRAAZZYY right? It's even crazier seeing it in person.
Stay tuned because I'm working on an interview with the head honchos of Paris By Night. Yes, it is indeed Marie To and Paul Huynh.

Lynda Trang Dai:Vietnamese Lady GAGA?!?
I'm quietly sitting in the bus as it prepares to take off to sin city, a.k.a Las Vegas. I'll admit, I was not the least bit eager to sit in a 7 hour bus ride, even if I was surrounded by the the vietnamese music business' finest. As I'm dressed comfortably in a plain t-shirt and sweats, all the singers pass by to find their seat, still looking glamorous as ever, some of them even in heels! Then walks Lynda Trang Dai, conspicuously equipped with sparkling/glowing/light-catching hair extensions. Obviously, I tell her that I love her hair! She laughs and said, "Thanks! That's funny but I'm not going to be wearing these for the show." What could be more exciting than shining hair extensions?? Well, a blonde wig apparently.
I usually don't enjoy watching the rehearsals because not only do they ruin the surprise aspect, but they also are very long and boring. However, I was set on watching Lynda's and Tommy's performance (mostly to see what she was going to wear). The song starts with a california and surfer vibed riff paired with a swingy and catchy chorus and the duo singing "I love you each and every day...." When I watched her on stage, I cannot help but see a similarity between her and the avant-garde popstar Lady Gaga. Lynda is dressed in an all black leotard with armor like fragments attached on the shoulders and legs. To top it all off, she is sporting a BLONDE WIG with the same glowing hair extensions. And we all know that Lady Gaga is infamous for her crazy outfits and out there fashion statements. In my opinion, Lynda portrays a fearless, provocative, yet incredibly charismatic persona, very similiar to the global pop star. She struts down the stage and does not show even the least bit of fear when she is lifted on a surfboard about six feet off the ground....yikes. She leaves you guessing, wondering what her next move will be.
BEST DRESSED!
These are who I thought were the best dressed at paris by night's vip red carpet!
Check out all the looks here: http://s893.photobucket.com/albums/ac140/pbnspotlight/vip%20red%20carpet/
Bao Han. She stunned in this red structured gown with a modern edge. Her Veronica Lake like waves just completed the whole ensemble.
Y Lan. Now this is a woman who knows how to dress her age! So elegant but fashion forward at the same time.
Youth never looked so sweet! Huong Giang was dazzling, and MTD was just so chipper and cute in his attire. Quorky (not sure how to spell that word) but fun!
Nguyet Anh. I must say that I was in love with her Donna Karan gown! The color, the jewels, EVERYthing.
Thanh Ha's LBD was an amazing fit, and she looked amazing in it!
Tu Quyen's flaunted her svelte physique in an Arden B number.
Sorry for no head-to-toe shots....Anyways, I would number these but everyone was genuinely gorgeous that night. Seeing it on a pixelized computer screen is one thing, but seeing these ladies and gents in person is a whole other matter!

PARIS BY NIGHT 100! WAY TO START OUT WITH A BANG!
Suspense! Anticipation! Drama! Two dancers clad in mystic oriental costumes line the stage in a spritual position, hands clasped together. At the center of the stage is a circular elevated pedastol where more dancers are seated, knees and hands to the ground. They surround a long silky curtain which seems to enclose a mysterious singer in sparkly leggings and a modern ao dai style garment. The dramatic intro music comes to an end, the curtain falls, and Nhu Quynh is left standing, statuesque and beautiful as ever! When she finishes singing a couple of verses, Minh Tuyet descends from the sky in a swing. Nhu Quynh and Minh Tuyet, woaahh what a match up! After Minh Tuyet belts out her part, both divas come together for a duet.
The song finishes and a gigantic sparkling disco ball* turns around to reveal Nguyen Ngoc Ngan and Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, Paris By Night's iconic mc's. Welcome to Paris By Night 100!!
*Through an inside source, I learned that the disco ball was the same exact one used for Mariah Carey.
